- The Cancer Research Campaign has awarded its creative advertising business to FCB following a four way pitch.
To win the business FCB saw off Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO, Creative Marketing Solutions and Matthew Poppy.
FCB has been appointed as a long term partner to help the CRC develop its fundraising and marketing. It is a move which marks a change in strategy for the charity, which has previously worked with agencies on a project by project basis.
There was also a fillip in the pitch for Creative Marketing Solutions, which has been asked by the CRC to work on various fund-raising events.
FCB were considered to have recommended the most relevant communications and database marketing proposals, according to the CRC.
Robert Hamer, chairman of FCB, said: "We are thrilled to be working with the Cancer Research Campaign whose work in fund-raising is so vital in the battle against cancer."
The CRC spent £570,000 according to AC Nielsen Meal last year.
