- FCB has won the advertising account for the US state of Illinois with a brief to attract tourists from the UK and Germany.
The press campaign will run in national newspapers and magazines and features four executions: Beaches, Nightlife, Skyline and State, which pick up on different aspects of Illinois and Chicago.
Nightlife, for instance, highlights some of Chicago's world famous blues and jazz bars, while Beaches reminds potential visitors that land-locked Chicago enjoys a busy beachlife courtesy of the shores of Lake Michigan.
The campaign will run in the travel sections of broadsheet newspapers and magazines including Conde Nast Traveller, Time Out, Radio Times, OK and Hello. Spend is estimated to be around $2 million.
