Emap Metro’s FHM took the top prize as consumer magazine of the
year at the Periodical Publishers Association’s Magazines ’97 awards
held this week.
Alexandra Shulman of Conde Nast’s Vogue was voted consumer magazine
editor of the year, while Heather Love of IPC’s Marie Claire was named
consumer publisher of the year.
The business and professional magazine of the year was Investment Week,
published by City Financial Communications. Dulux’s Colour, published by
Redwood, was named top customer magazine, and BBC Magazines’ Homes and
Antiques was chosen as the consumer specialist magazine of the year.
IPC Magazines’ New Scientist was awarded a special prize for its
consistent excellence.
