Flat Eric makes dramatic return for Levis

- Flat Eric, the yellow puppet who shot to fame as the face of Levi's in a series of television commercials earlier this year, is back in a new campaign.

Flat Eric, who scored a number one hit record for Levis with the "Flat Beat" theme tune from the ad campaign, appears in five new ads for the Levi's Sta-Prest brand. This time the Eric is an outlaw on the run.

Eric is seen in one ad with his geeky human sidekick Angel driving through the desert as they spot their faces on a wanted poster. Another ad shows Eric in a barber's shop somewhere in the American west getting his yellow fur cut to change his appearance. A third ad shows the two lying on a mortuary slab.

Viewers are left wondering whether this is the end for the yellow fur ball, or whether he will return in another effort to boost Levi's flagging sales.

The campaign was created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty and breaks on cable and satellite TV on August 16. It comes to terrestrial TV on August 26.
