created ambassadorial role within its True North parent.

As FCB Europe’s communications director, he will be responsible for

improving the information flow between the 55 agency offices across the

Continent.

The agencies were brought together by last year’s merger of FCB and

Bozell under the True North umbrella.

At the same time, FCB chiefs want to capitalise on Fletcher’s reputation

as a writer, broadcaster and commentator on industry affairs in order to

boost the network’s image with potential clients and opinion

formers.

Fletcher has been charged with implementing the plans of Brendan Ryan,

FCB’s global chief executive, to energise training programmes for FCB

managers throughout Europe. He will also work alongside Harry Reid,

FCB’s international president, on new business.
