LONDON - Sports fashion retailer Foot Locker is sponsoring the Urban Music Awards' search for new acts.

Live events have been taking place nationwide to find a performer good enough to be given a record deal, with heats broadcast on digital channel Channel Urban.

Wannabe entertainers will be able to audition in booths set up within Foot Locker stores until mid-September.

A competition is also running on Foot Locker's website, offering customers the chance to win £5,000 worth of prizes, including tickets to the awards ceremony and vouchers for the store.
