Four of the UK's top sporting venues for hire

A new cricket-focused venue outside of London, spaces that cater to football fans and a venue complete with paraphernalia from the London 2012 Olympics comprise our list of top sporting venues for hire.

The Hilton at The Ageas Bowl

The Hilton at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton can host between 10 and 700 people for events including small meetings and private functions right through to large exhibitions and weddings.

The new hotel, which opened at the end of May, is complete with six meeting rooms, a boardroom and The Ageas Ballroom. 

It overlooks the famous cricket ground, which is the home of the Hampshire County Cricket Club, and is home to an 18-hole golf course.

National Football Museum

The National Football Museum in Manchester offers two rooms for hire. Situated on the top floor of the museum, The Suite is suitable for small-scale events such as breakfast meetings and private dinners. The space is equipped with its own entrance, enabling it to host events both during the day and in the evening.

The Hall of Fame pays homage to nationally recognised football legends, with the ‘wall’ updated yearly. The space can accommodate up to 250 people for seated functions or 500 for standing receptions.

For a football-themed event, penalty shootout and goalkeeping activities are available for hire within the Hall of Fame space.

Allianz Park

Allianz Park offers a range of spaces for hire, including industrial-style blank canvas space The Olympic Bar. The venue can host up to 2,000 guests for a reception or 1,200 people at a sit-down function.

The bar features the 80-metre long warm-up track which was used by athletes including Usain Bolt and Jessica Ennis during the London 2012 Olympics. 

Allianz Park's in-house team, Leaf Catering, handles the food offering across all events, and it also works with a number of approved Kosher caterers.

Liverpool Football Club

The Liverpool Football Club (LFC) offers a number of spaces for events of varying sizes. The Shanks, Paisley, Champions and European lounges are particularly suitable for large-scale events, and can host up to 500 people.

The club’s events division has recently updated its event package offering, enabling attendees to enjoy a three-course lunch, meet with an LFC legend, visit the club’s interactive museum and more.
