Kim Huynh Thi will be responsible for the organisation and management of all private hires at the flagship store. She will report jointly to Andy Quinn, head of events at Foyles, and Richard Shaw, manager of the brand’s Leafi Café.

Huynh Thi joins from marketing company AdSpect, where she was events and production manager. Previously she was events coordinator at Asia House.

Quinn said: "We're delighted to welcome Kim Huynh Thi to the Foyles events team. Kim brings with her considerable experience of providing a very high standard of service to companies who require private events and catering functions.

"This is an exciting new venture for Foyles."

Foyles 107 Charing Cross Road has so far hosted a number of events since it opened in June 2014, including the nationwide Books Are My Bag campaign and an exhibition of photographer Kent Baker’s work on Alexander McQueen.
