Supanet, the free internet service provider aimed at families, is

seeking an agency to handle its estimated pounds 10 million advertising

account.

The company, which so far has 250,000 registered users, is contacting

mainstream advertising agencies through the AAR.

Alan Randall, the company’s marketing director, said that he hopes to

narrow the longlist of five to a shortlist of three by the end of this

week.

Until now, the company has been using Davies Little Cowley Fiddes on an

ad-hoc basis.

Randall added that although Supanet uses CIA Media Solutions, that may

change according to which creative agency he appoints.

He is also reviewing the company’s below-the-line arrangements.

Randall said: ’We are a product with very little brand presence. We need

an agency to develop our brand presence and personality and mainstream

agencies are good at that.’

He expects the first work to break late in the summer or early in the

autumn.
