French information task goes to Publicis

- The French government has appointed Publicis to handle an information campaign to prepare the country for the introduction of euro notes and coins which will go into circulation at the end of 2001.

The appointment is the fouth euro information campaign to be assigned to Publicis which is already handling work for the European Central Bank, Germany's Bundesbank and the Netherlands euro changover board.

The French campaign will begin in January.
