The retail specialist, Anne Froggatt, who is an account director on

Currys at M&C Saatchi, will return to her old agency to take up a new

role as senior account director on the electrical retailer, Comet.

She began working on electrical retailing accounts back in 1986 when she

joined Ted Bates to look after Dixons, and remained on the business when

Bates was bought by Saatchis later that year. In 1989, she moved over to

Saatchis to concentrate on Currys, the largest brand in the Dixons

group, and six years later she followed Currys over to M&C Saatchi.

’Her experience is second to none and I am confident she will be a

valuable asset both to us and to Comet,’ commented Marilyn Baxter, the

head of business strategy at Saatchis who also has board level

responsibility for Comet.

As a senior account director, Froggatt partly replaces Andy Boucher who

has moved on to Procter & Gamble business. She will report to the group

account director, Richard Ellis.
