The company has published an announcement on its website about its Future Cinema concept, which will now be called Secret Cinema Presents.
A statement on the Secret Cinema website said: "Over the next few months we will be reorganising many of our different strands to make it clearer and easier to navigate between our experiences.
"Future Cinema launched in 2005 and has staged over 20 productions from touring live cinema experiences, music festival headline slots, to large scale outdoor spectaculars. It paved the way for the launch of Secret Cinema in 2007 and has created some of the UK’s most talked about cinematic and music events."
The statement explained Future Cinema will become Secret Cinema Presents and will continue to create experiences around cult classics and new releases, while Secret Cinema Tell No One will continue to "stage entirely secret worlds". The changes will come into effect this week (6 June).
Details of the Back To The Future live cinema experience were announced yesterday (2 June). The event will take place in a secret London outdoor location between 24 July and 10 August.
The company said it will recreate the Californian town of Hill Valley, where the film starring Michael J Fox is set. The event will recreate scenes from the film, which sees teenager Marty McFly travel back in time 30 years.
A battle of the bands contest will determine who will play on stage each night, as well as a secret headline high-profile band. The famous ‘enchantment under the sea’ prom dance will take place at an after-party venue near the secret location.
Audience participation will feature heavily throughout each event, with audiences becoming characters inside Hill Valley, with some being thrown into a time machine and transported into another existence, and others will become part of the worlds of 1955 and 1985.
Organisers have said they are looking for partners and artists to be involved in the production.
