GALLERY 07: Hewlett Packard - Bang & Olufsen

An extraordinary and beautifully crafted piece of film for this sleek hi-fi brand that avoids the familiar visual cliches used to depict sound. The spot illustrates sounds of normal life rather than music, from dogs barking to kids playing - there's not a trace of Disney's Fantasia here. Surprisingly, there was also no animation involved in the production, despite the impressive effects.

Shot in a park, the live action footage was then transformed in post-production using rotascoping to create the futuristic cityscape background.
