GALLERY 14: Portuguese Road Safety Helder

A hard-hitting commercial that refuses to spare viewers the reality of those disabled as a result of car accidents. The director found a group of disabled people who were willing to be filmed while trying to perform basic daily tasks. It makes for very painful viewing. Portugal's reputation for road safety in comparison to the rest of Europe is notoriously bad, with a staggering 1,800 people killed on the roads in 1999. The spot was awarded a Gold at this year's One Show.
