GALLERY 23: Hope HIV Hope

Rather than depict shocking images of the victims of AIDS, the creatives opted for a lyrical sequence: a six-year-old girl in a pink tutu dancing on a grave to the sounds of traditional Armenian music. The entire film was shot on location in Cape Town, with a long lens camera focusing full attention on the girl. As the spot progresses, the background fades into a blur of colour and light, creating a feeling of optimism.
