GCap Media rejigs management team

GCap Media has restructured its senior management team in an attempt to make it more accessible to advertisers.

The move sees Simon Daglish promoted to national sales director, with line responsibility for agency sales, sales and promotion, Classic FM, commercial marketing and client development.

Before the appointment, Daglish was the national sales and trade marketing director at GCap.

Daglish, who oversaw the integration of the Classic FM team into GCap Media, will also take responsibility for ideas, pitching solutions, programming collaboration and client service.

Separately, John McGeough, previously GCap's national sales director, will become its trading and business development director.

McGeough will focus on developing GCap's trading model in order to win new business for the GCap Media network.

He will also oversee trading strategy, business development and network sales.

Daglish and McGeough will report to the GCap commercial director, Duncan George. George said: "Commercial radio can only be enhanced by consumer take-up of new platforms. Our advertiser proposition is one of the strongest in the media marketplace and this re-organisation of our senior talent can only enhance that."
