Gender equality is a piece of cake in MRM/McCann Romania campaign

French bakery Paul makes pie charts for dessert

Gender equality gets a seat at the table in a new campaign by MRM/McCann Romania for the international patisserie Paul. Each location in Romania is offering "bittersweet pies" — cakes decorated like pie charts, with statistics detailing the uneven representation of women in the country. There are five different cakes, illustrating issues like the wage gap, lack of representation in Parliament and the glass ceiling. While the numbers may be tough to swallow, the statistics are entirely edible. Five percent of the sales generated by the cakes will be donated to the FILIA Foundation, a non-profit focused on philanthropy and feminism, which will use the funds to train rural women for modern jobs.
