Geocities names Y&R to $20m account

- Geocities, the US online communities company, has appointed Young & Rubicam, New York to handle its $20 million integrated marketing account without a competitive review.

Y&R Advertising will handle the consumer ads while Brand Dialogue will handle interactive services, Wunderman Cato Johnson will do some advertising and direct marketing, Landor Associates will handle corporate design and the Media Edge will be responsible for media research, planning and placement.
