Geoff Howard-Spink, the man who co-founded Lowe Howard-Spink with

Frank Lowe in 1981, is leaving the Lowe Group.

Howard-Spink, who has been working at Lowe Howard-Spink (now Lowe Lintas

& Partners) as a part-time consultant for the past five years, wants

more time to pursue his interest in new media and horseracing.

He said his departure was not the result of Lowe & Partners’ merger with

Ammirati Puris Lintas last autumn, but that the deal had created an

’opportune moment’.

Lowe said: ’I thank Geoff for helping me start the agency in 1981. I

have never had anything but support from Geoff, and while it is sad to

lose him from the office, I won’t lose him as a friend.’

During his time as a consultant, Howard-Spink has worked principally on

Tesco, and earlier on Lloyds Bank. He was also involved in pushing

Lowe’s presence in Asia Pacific. He was chairman of the London agency

from the mid-80s until 1993, when he became strategic planning director

of the Lowe Group.

He said: ’I’ve been lucky to work with some memorable people at BMP and

CDP and especially with Frank at Lowes.’
