The aptly named Central Perk café opened its doors yesterday (5 October), and will remain in operation for two weeks, closing on 18 October.

Those passing through Hyde Park in the city's central business district will be able to stop off for a free coffee and snap a photograph on the café's infamous orange couch.

Stan will also be handing out Friends merchandise and prizes each day, and visitors are being encouraged to share their Central Perk selfies on social media with the hashtag #FriendsOnStan.

The café first appeared in New York last year as part of a celebration to mark Friends’ 20th anniversary, where it attracted approximately 50,000 people.

Comedy Central UK delivered a FriendsFest experience in London recently, where tickets sold out in less than half-an-hour. View Event's video interview with James Michael Taylor, who played the role of Gunther in Friends, here
