Archibald Ingall Stretton has added a new name to its client list

with the through-the-line advertising account for Global Sports Fund, a

financial services product.

The recent start-up was awarded the business without a pitch and has

completed a press campaign which breaks at the end of the week.

Global Sports Fund is managed by the investment manager, Svecla

Securities AG.

The campaign is targeted at financially aware potential investors with a

keen interest in sport, especially those in the 35- to 45-year-old age

range, with between pounds 1,500 to pounds 2,000 to invest.

One execution features a cartoon of an elderly man peering through

bottle-bottom spectacles, saying: ’I was a demon bowler ’til the old

eyes went. Now I focus on the money I could make from sport.’

The campaign was written by Steve Gordon and David Lambert. The media

was planned and bought by Carat Direct.

Stuart Archibald, a managing partner at AIS, said: ’Sport is widely

known to be one of the fastest-growing industries. It has outdone most

markets in financial terms over the past ten years.

’People do invest in funds because of their performance, but at the same

time most people are interested in sport in one way or another.’

He added: ’The financial market is generally very boring, but this is an

interesting product. It’s very refreshing to work with a client that

wants to create an impact.’
