Glue creates online campaign for Virgin Credit Card launch

Glue London, the new-media agency, has developed an online launch

campaign for the Virgin Credit Card that pokes fun at competitors'

reward schemes.

The campaign, which carries the strapline, "The card you put together",

aims to demonstrate how users can make their own benefits packages.

Applicants can choose options including no annual fee to their APR and

choose whether to access discounted Virgin Group products available.

One skyscraper sees a carriage clock being tossed into a bin to

highlight the poor gifts usually given by credit card companies. Another

breaks the card into jigsaw pieces to display how the user can build

their own card package.

Andrew Rispoli, the Virgin Credit Card account manager at Glue, said:

"The credit card industry is fiercely competitive with new players

including US heavyweights entering the market all the time. What

consumers want is a brand they recognise and trust."

The ads were art directed and written by Dylan Hewitt, Dave Wellington,

Caraline Towill and Adrian Peters. The designers were Leon Ostle and Dan

Griffiths.

Media is being handled by Manning Gottlieb Media.
