The UK production company, Godman, has linked up with Palomar
Pictures in Los Angeles to give its roster of directors greater
The deal will give Godman’s roster of ten directors full representation
in the US while Palomar’s directors will be represented in the UK by
Palomar is a leading US production company with offices in LA and
representation in New York and the mid-West of America. Its roster of
directors includes Melodie McDaniel, Breck Eisner and Nicholas Brandt,
who have made commercials for clients including Budweiser, Coca-Cola,
Nike and Miller Genuine Draft.
It has also made music videos for artists including Michael Jackson,
Madonna, Tina Turner and Whitney Houston.
Palomar was set up in 1992 by Jonathon Ker, the former head of TV at
Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Ker runs the company alongside Joni Sighvatsson,
who joined Palomar last year from Propaganda Films.
Godman’s directors include Vaughan Arnell and Howard Greenhalgh, who
last year directed commercials for clients including Orange, Ikea, The
Sunday Times and Bacardi.
Godman’s managing director, Jo Godman, said: ’We have been in
discussions with numerous people in America over the past three years
but have never found the perfect relationship. We started talking with
Jonathon about six months ago and I know that we speak the same
