Granada Enterprises has won the sales contract for the ITV2
website, which is due to relaunch this week.
The youth-focused site aims to drive web users to ITV2, which is casting
aside its image as a male-oriented sports channel to appeal to a younger

Kevin Baverstock, who reports to Simon Pardon, head of Granada
Airtime on the TV channel and be available to buy as a package with site
banners. Eventually the channel may be linked to the site digitally.
Granada Enterprises is spending pounds 500,000 on relaunching ITV2 as a
general entertainment product.
Chat-show host Jerry Springer will appear in eight TV trailers with the
strapline, ’total entertainment’.
The initiative comes a month after the creation of Granada Broadband,
which was set up to create new-media businesses and meet the growing
demand for content in the pay-TV, internet and broadband markets.
ITV2 is available to digital subscribers on ONdigital and to cable
subscribers on the Telewest and Cable & Wireless platforms.
