Simon Green, the joint creative director of Partners BDDH, has left

the agency to direct commercials through Harry Nash.

Green, who withdrew gradually from his agency commitments during the

course of 1999, leaves his partner of 18 years, John Dean, in sole

command of the agency.

The duo worked together at agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, WCRS,

Still Price Lintas, Addition (a start-up with Ben Langdon) and Partners

BDDH, where Green was one of the main equity partners of the

company.

They are perhaps best known for their ’surfers’ spot for Carling Black

Label, which they wrote while at WCRS.

Green, 38, has already directed a number of commercials for clients of

Partners BDDH, including work for The Guardian, Mercedes-Benz and the

Co-op.

He said: ’Harry Nash is the nearest environment and culture I could find

to that of an agency hotshop. From the agency side, I know how hot the

directors are here.’

Harry Nash also represents Ringan Ledgwidge and Fredrik Bond. The

company was formed in last July when its managing director, Julia Reed,

acquired 90 per cent of The End (London) from its US parent, HHI.

Reed said: ’ I am delighted to have found Simon. His phenomenal

achievements at an agency, alongside his filmic style, will be a great

addition and inspiration here.’

Green added: ’I would like to develop a reputation for versatility.’
