- Grey Advertising is being tipped to win the $100 million global centralised media buying account of the US-based AirTouch Communications.
The telecoms company had recently narrowed the process down to a shortlist of two, with Western International Media being the second finalist. Western, however, is understood to have pulled out.
The mobile phone company is also currently reviewing its advertising business, which it plans to centralise with a single agency.
AirTouch has said the creative review is due to kick off in the next few weeks. It is likely that incumbent agencies will be considered for the new assignment. AirTouch currently works with: TBWA Chiat/Day, Mering and Associates, BBDO/Minneapolis, Bozell/Costa Mesa, Bozell/Detroit and Alcone Communications Group.
