Grey promotes Nils Leonard to joint creative director

LONDON - Grey London has promoted Nils Leonard to the position of joint creative director.

Reporting to Jon Williams, the chief creative officer, he will now partner Andy Amadeo in the day-to-day running of the agency’s creative department.

Leonard’s responsibilities will include directing a number of the agency’s major accounts as well as finding talent, expanding the creative department and working on new-business pitches.

Williams said: Andy and I asked Nils to step up in re-cognition of his irrefutable and irrepressible talent. In Andy, I’ve got one of the most awarded creatives in the world and, in Nils, the most exciting rising star in the business.

Leonard, who started his career at Ammirati Puris Lintas as an art director, joined Grey in 2007 as a creative director on Hugo Boss. Since then, he has worked on Five, Gartmore and Samsung.

Leonard also runs his own design and art direction consultancy. It specialises in music, fashion and lifestyle brands and recently devised the new album launch for the rock group Feeder.
