GSkyB appoints AIS in fourth advertising move in 24 months

Granada Sky Broadcasting has moved its advertising business to its fourth agency in less than two years, with the appointment of Archibald Ingall Stretton.

Granada Sky Broadcasting has moved its advertising business to its

fourth agency in less than two years, with the appointment of Archibald

Ingall Stretton.

It is thought that the agency was appointed without a competitive

pitch.

The move comes after Granada Sky, which broadcasts Granada Breeze and

Granada Plus, parted company with the previous incumbent, Osprey.

Reasons for the split were not clear.

Before Osprey was appointed last autumn, the account had been handled by

the Oswald Agency, a shop set up by the now creative directors of Brann,

Brian Storey and Xanthos Christodoulou. The pair had worked on the

business at its previous incumbent, HPT Brand Response, and took the

account on after HPT resigned it for undisclosed reasons. However, the

media planning hotshop Rocket has been retained during all this time,

with a heavyweight strategic role on the business.

The next campaign is expected to be entirely through the line.

No-one at GSkyB nor AIS was available for comment as Campaign went to

press.
