Halfords is using its Christmas budget to remind parents about what wholesome presents bikes make. Mother created the TV ad for the retailer, which is hoping to steal a greater share of the Christmas gifting market from Apple and Microsoft. It opens with bored-looking children staring out of their windows after Christmas dinner, only to see a gang of kids exploring the neighbourhood on their new bikes. The ad ends with the simple line: "Does anything beat a bike?" It was directed by Aoife McArdle through Somesuch & Co.
