– Harrods is one of four new dotcom wins totalling more than $60 million that Y&R 2.1, the agency started by Y&R to integrate online and offline marketing, has won in the past month.

Alongside the ecommerce operation of the London department store, Harrods.com, Y&R 2.1 has won the accounts of Mall.com, Austin, an online shopping and entertainment site; Global Digital Media.com, a Boston-based integrated internet/multimedia network; and Capital Thinking, New York, which uses the web to match lenders, buyers and brokers in the mortgage market.

According to Don Norman, acting chief executive of Harrods.com, "Young & Rubicam has a long and auspicious heritage within the world of advertising and is held in extremely high esteem across all sectors of business. We have been especially impressed by the philosophy of Y&R 2.1 which, we feel, will place it extremely well to represent businesses within the burgeoning internet industry."
