- Haymarket Business Publications, which owns Campaign magazine, has acquired ITSkills magazine from the Hemming Group for an undisclosed sum.
All existing staff, including Colin Steed, editor of IT Skills, and commercial director, Sean Mayberry, will join Haymarket.
ITSkills was launched in June 1998 to support the Hemming Group's NEC-based 'Training Solutions and IT Training Show'. With a circulation of 20,000, its aim is to help companies align their IT skills and performance improvement programmes with their core business goals. Haymarket already publishes IT Training, a fortnightly title for professionals in the IT training market.
As well as the monthly magazine, Haymarket is acquiring the 'training-source' web site and the 'ITSkills Research' business, a leading UK IT research programme in the training sector.
Martin Durham, managing director of Haymarket Business Publications, said: "We are delighted to acquire ITSkills. It has a strong presence in this fast-changing market. Haymarket has innovative plans for ITSkills which we will be announcing shortly. We are especially pleased that all the existing staff with their vast experience and knowledge of the sector will be joining us."
