HBO promotes Game of Thrones with 'Dragon wagon' luxury bus

Bus will take winners to New York for final-season premiere.

HBO owner AT&T is promoting the final season of Game of Thrones with a luxury bus dubbed the "Dragon wagon" that will pay a visit to AT&T's Boston store.

The bus will make an appearance at the shop on 2 April from 12pm to 6pm, when fans can gather to enter a prize draw. 

Five winners will receive the top prize of a seat for them and a friend on the "Dragon wagon" as it travels to New York in time for the 3 April red-carpet premiere of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.

Visitors to the AT&T store will also be able to have their photos taken sitting on a model of the show's "iron throne" and they can don a Magic Leap One augmented-reality headset for a "The dead must die" experience. 

Kristian Nairn, the actor who played the heroic servant Hodor, will also be making an appearance, taking photos and "Holding the door" (a seminal line from the series).

Anticipation over Game of Thrones' final season has been mounting, as has the marketing surrounding the show. In another publicity drive, HBO is challenging fans to prove their devotion by helping end blood shortages around the world via a "Bleed for the throne" donation activation.
