GMTV’s sales team has struck a deal with the health drink Yakult to
run advertising on the breakfast station’s website.
Yakult is to sponsor the GMTV website’s lifestyle pages for one month,
starting this week.
The online push will coincide with a Yakult TV campaign, which is to run
on GMTV over the same period.
The deal was negotiated by Mark Connolly, the website’s commercial
manager, and Kerry Howard, a TV buyer at the media agency CDP Media, on
behalf of Yakult.
As well as carrying banner advertising, GMTV has set up an interactive
competition to run on a two-page microsite.
Connolly said: ’This project gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our
skills at designing and offering client services. It also demonstrates
how important it is to complement TV advertising with online
