Hearst New Media selects CKS Group for Homearts.com

- Hearst's New Media and Technology Group has named CKS Group as its advertising agency-of-record for the HomeArts Network.

HomeArts, located at www.homearts.com, is a leading Website for women on the web. The deal between Hearst and CKS includes all marketing communications and media buying for both online and offline activity.

The Hearst New Media account was previously handled by i-traffic, which had held the business since 1995. However, following i-traffic's recent decision to focus all of the agency's efforts on e-commerce accounts the two decided to mutually part company.

Hearst New Media and Technology, the unit of Hearst Communications responsible for building and managing the company's interests in new media was formed in March 1993.

Based in Cupertino, California, CKS Group's clients include Levi, Nabisco and Coty. It has offices across the US as well as Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
