Tommy Hilfiger is reviewing its pan-European planning and buying
arrangements, and will award all the work to one agency for the first
time.
The US fashion giant has invited four agencies to pitch for the
centralised account. They are the UK incumbent CDP Media (a joint
venture between CIA Medianetwork and CDP), Carat - which handles most of
the business on mainland Europe - Optimedia and Mediapolis.
The agencies made their presentations at the beginning of this week.
A decision is expected within the next couple of days. The winning
agency will take charge of the account from the beginning of next
year.
The review was instigated by Tommy Hilfiger’s new European marketing
director, Ben Simmonds-Gooding, who joined the company from Wieden &
Kennedy where he was the Nike account director.
