Home improvement chain puts $100m account in play

Lowe's has contacted 16 agencies and plans to draw up a five strong shortlist by as early as next week. The incumbent Doner, Southfield, Mich, which has had the account since 1991, will also repitch.

Lowe's, which is based in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, plans to open more than 80 stores during the coming year and expand into the West Coast market.
