Individuals share real-life stories of the consequences they have endured from carrying a knife and the catalyst that led them to put down their knives in this campaign for the Home Office.

The #knifefree campaign worked with a range of charities to source real-life stories and street-cast actors were found to protect identities of the protagonists as the Home Office targets 10- to 21-year-olds amid a surge in knife crime.

Director James Burns was chosen to create the films for his bold visual style and personal connection to the narratives due to his time spent in juvenile detention and prison before changing paths aged 18.
