HomeAway "why share it" by Saatchi & Saatchi

HomeAway is taking the fight to Airbnb in its advertising, with a global campaign rubbishing the notion of sharing your holiday with strangers.

Saatchi & Saatchi created the ad, which humorously compares the worst possible outcomes of sharing your holiday home with the bliss of getting your own place. Nick Offerman, from Parks And Recreation, lends an air of authoritative incredulity in his voiceover. The spot will run on TV in the UK, as well as in the US, Germany and France. It veers towards being cynical as much as Airbnb's advertising veers towards pretentiousness, but it's always fun to watch Saatchi & Saatchi use humour to go on the attack – it's what made the agency famous in the first place.
