HOTLINE: Creative director Norman Alcuri has died

Norman Alcuri, a Briton who built a reputation as one of the Far East's outstanding creative directors, has died aged 49. His career spanned time at Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather, DMB&B and the Ball Partnership in Singapore, where his commercial for Pan Pacific Hotels was a Cannes silver winner in 1991. Alcuri died in hospital in Canterbury after falling ill in Bali where he had recently made his home.
