HOTLINE: Emap announces rise in first-half profits

Emap announced a 9 per cent rise in first-half profits to £94 million. Turnover rose 7 per cent to £509 million. Tom Moloney, the chief executive of Emap, said that it was looking at launching a women's magazine following the sale of Elle and Red to Hachette Filipacchi last year.
