Hotline: Express Newspapers rapped by the ASA

Express Newspapers has been rapped by the Advertising Standards Authority for two campaigns it ran last year, after complaints that the items on offer were out of stock.

One of the ads ran on the front page of the Daily Express in October 2010, promising a "Free Fisher-Price Trio toy for every reader at Toys R Us and the Early Learning Centre". The promotion was challenged as it was claimed the toy was not in stock at the Early Learning Centres.
