ISBA, the advertiser body, is to press the Government for a

guarantee that new European Union regulations on misleading advertising

will not allow pressure groups to seek injunctions to halt campaigns.

ISBA is concerned that government assurances that groups will not be

allowed to go to the courts have not been written into the regulations

laid before Parliament this week. 'The Government has not listened to

the voice of the industry,' Ian Twinn, ISBA's director of corporate

affairs, said.
