HOTLINE: News International backs down

News International has backed down in a row with advertisers about the cost of running ads in The Times' tabloid edition. The newspaper has dropped its policy of charging "gatekeeper" fees, which cover the costs of ensuring ads can be published, for both the broadsheet and tabloid editions.
