Hotline: Novartis gearing up for review

Novartis, the pharmaceutical giant, is gearing up to launch a review of its estimated $600 million global media business.

WPP's MEC is the incumbent on the global business, including in the UK. The company, which has a consumer healthcare business that markets over-the-counter remedies such as Tixylix and Savlon, spent £9 million on media in the UK in the past 12 months, according to Nielsen.
