Hotline: Online adspend rises

Online adspend rose by 13.5 per cent on a like-for-like basis in the first six months of 2011 to £2.26 billion, a 27 per cent share of the ad market, according to the Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers. This puts digital spend on track to overtake last year's annualised figure of £4.1 billion.
