UK Max, the search engine and shopping portal owned by the

Hollinger Telegraph New Media group, has appointed HPT Brand Response to

develop an integrated campaign to promote the site.

HPT pitched against five other agencies and has begun work to develop

the campaign immediately with the roll-out expected in June or July this

year.

Hollinger Telegraph is planning to spend pounds 1.5 million on promoting

the site this summer and media is likely to include internet banners,

radio and press. UK Max is broadly aimed at any UK internet user but

will be targeting a slightly younger bias.

HPT’s managing partner, Tim Patten, said: ’This is a great win for us as

UK Max is a great product looking for great work and it will also allow

us to really strut our stuff in both traditional and digital media.’
