Hyundai reviews $800m US media

NEW YORK - The Hyundai Motor Company is reviewing the $800m US media planning and buying account for its Hyundai and Kia brands.

The account is with Carat, which has already been shortlisted to compete with other media agencies.

Three-quarters of the US media spend goes on the Hyundai brand, which earlier this year appointed Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to its advertising account.

The UK media accounts are unaffected by the US review, Hyundai is with Publicis Groupe's Equinox and Kia is with Omnicom's M2M.
