Network software specialist Novell has developed a free web-based identity card which enables users to automatically sign-on to sites, eliminating the need to remember passwords.

eliminating the need to remember passwords.



Once details are registered onto the Digitalme site (www. digitalme.com),

users are issued with a ’meCard’ which allows them to access their address

book and sign on to their favourite password-protected sites from any

PC.



At present such information is stored in a PC in the form of a ’cookie’,

data which cannot be accessed if someone uses a different PC.
