Ikea has launched a campaign to showcase its outdoor living products. The TV spot shows a family giving their garden an overhaul before coming up against resistance from an army of gnomes. The family wins the battle that ensues, but the ad ends on a cliffhanger as one gnome remains. The soundtrack is a cover of Mötley Crüe’s Time For Change by the Palace of Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra and Heritage Singers. The ad was created by Mother and directed by Mike Maguire through Biscuit Filmworks. The campaign includes outdoor, press and online activity.
