Yonish will take the role of director of creative solutions at IPC Advertising.
He has been briefed to develop creative resources across IPC to provide solutions for its largest advertisers.
Reporting to Neil Perkin, IPC Advertising's marketing and strategy director, Yonish will oversee IPC's ad design resource, IPC Creative, which was launched last October.
Yonish is returning to IPC, having worked there in sales from 1992. He joined The Independent in 1998 from The Mail on Sunday as the client sales manager across the weekday and Sunday papers.
He was promoted to creative director of the solutions division in November 2004 as part of a wider restructure under the commercial director, Simon Barnes.
Yonish said: "IPC has everything in place and is moving in the right direction."
